One thing Birkman is NOT is an assessment of individual psychological health. It does NOT have a right/wrong or good/bad value system. There are no "correct" answers.

The three part assessment consists of 298 questions, with 125 true-false items in each of the first two parts..
- Section 1 measures perceptions of most people (how they feel, think and behave).
- Patterns of thoughts, feelings and actions are measured in section 2.
- The third section consists of a 48-item survey on occupational interests.
